Abstract:

CRITERIA is a modelling environment specifically designed to simulate soil water balance and nutrient transport in a geographical setting, taking into account weather data, soil distribution and characteristics, crop parameters and technical input (irrigation, fertilization, tillage type and dates). We recently added a potential crop growth module based on the Wofost model and a numerical version of the water and transport model is being developed at the moment (2003). CRITERIA is available also with a non-geographical model development and testing interface called BancodiProva (Testing Bench).
