Abstract:

A multimedia educational software package designed to improve the diagnostic skills of students of crop protection. The program comes with 4 sample scenarios, each an interactive adventure game where the student is presented a particular crop protection problem. The student then must use various skills such as questioning the grower, collecting plant material and using laboratory techniques to elucidate the problem and suggest remedial action. A scenario builder allows you to design your own crop problems by incoporating customised text, images and video clips. Extra scenarios are available via ftp from ftp.ctpm.org in the diagnosis/ directory.
