Abstract:

It is a groundwater flow and pollution model based on the finite element method. It can be used for confined and unconfined, isotropic and unisotropic, homogeneous and non homogeneous aquifers. It comprises a flow model, a pollutant transport model and a particle tracking model.

The flow model can compute equilibrium and transient conditions in a bi-dimensional field, a vertical section or a three dimensional irregularly shaped domain. Both flow and piezometric conditions are allowed at the boundary. The program can work with 500 nodes and 500 elements, and has a specific user interface.
