Abstract:

To simulate N limited production of irrigated rice. Basis equations quantify: - light interception as function of total leaf-N, - crop CO2 exchange as function of intercepted radiation, and - daily crop growth rate. Environmental effects other than radiation and crop specific factors need to be expressed by a site specific scaling factor.
